WEAKNESSES: Raine is highly protective of the padawan, especially her own; because of this, she rarely subjects her students to truly harsh tests, and is quick to anger when they are subjected to such. Her fear of loss makes her extremely culpable in this regard, as she would rather put herself in dire danger than even risk even the possibility of danger for anyone else.
STRENGTHS:

REPUTATION: One of the most relaxed Jedi Masters teaching at the Academy, she also happens to be one of the most approachable. Raine is also notorious for her ability to keep tabs on almost everything and everyone, and as a result has a tendency to interfere with the social lives of everyone living on-campus.

PERSONALITY: At first glance, Raine doesn't appear to be your everyday Jedi; her persistent grin and carefree personality lay in stark contrast to the other Jedi on campus. 'Strict' is not a word listed in her vocabulary, and instead of discipling her students for not performing to standard, she seeks out ways to motivate them to put forth their best efforts. Of course, this can be pretty difficult with a padawan like Van around, but Raine is seemingly never discouraged.

Despite her easygoing personality, Raine takes her job seriously, and understands well the responsibility and risk that comes with being it. However, she doesn't let the gravity of her situation get in her way of having fun. Even in the midst of battle, she remains her energetic and good-humored self, which may come to annoy some of the more austere Jedi Masters--but she never allows her personality to interfere with her objective.

However, if there is anything that she's more than happy to interfere with, it's the social lives of everyone living on Yavin 4. It isn't at all uncommon for her to pester her students about problems she overheard they might be having, or tease deCrion for living up to his reputation as a crotchety old Jedi among the padawan learners.

BACKGROUND: Raine was born on the planet of Zeltros in the year 14 BBY, where she lived a rather jovial childhood among her people. In comparison to many of the Jedi on Yavin 4, her childhood was a rather happy-go-lucky one--in part thanks to the hedonistic lifestyle of the Zeltron race.
